St.Mariam Thresia Day and Parents Day 2019
Holy Family School Farakka celebrated St.MariamThresia Day and Parents Day on 19 December 2019 with colourful events that proclaimed the glory and magnificence of the school faculty and the talented students.The school family was blessed with eminent personalities like ShriZakirHossain Minister of State for Labour, Govt of W.Bengalwho graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Mst.AnjumaraKhatun Chairman of PanchayatSamiti, Farakka, ShriRajoshriChakraborty Block Development Officer, FarakkaShriMainulHaque Member of West Bengal Legislative Assembly and ShriJoydevGhosh Inspector In-Charge, Farakka Police Station,??? who adorned the stage as guests of honour.
The function was presided over by Rev. Sr. JoicyThekkekara, the President of the School, and the Provincial Superior of CHF Arunoday Province of the Holy Family Congregation. Rev. Sr. Neetha Joseph, the Principal along with the School Band and the School cabinet lead the dignitaries to the Stage and warmly welcomed them with Aarati and bouquet.The four?hours long Cultural Show held the audience in awe and left them enlightened as the show culminated. The cultural events beautifully displayed wonderful messages like save water, beat plastic pollution, women empowerment, importance of parents, folk and classical mix and much above all special emphasis were given on the life of St. Mariam Thresia- the Foundress of the congregation of the Holy Family, her saintly life and her virtues through her apostolic mission. This year is dedicated to her as Catholic Church has raised her to the status of a Saint on 13 October 2019 in Rome by Pope Francis.
